Ukraine Visa Information Changes 1st of January 2019!

You will need a valid passport to enter Ukraine. If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need to have a Ukrainian visa as long as you will be in Ukraine for less than 90 days within 180 days.

It would help if you had permission, or valid Ukrainian residency permit, working visa for all stays longer than 90 days.

Some countries cannot get a Ukrainian visa at the airport or the border. If you need a visa permit, please get it in advance at a Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate overseas.

Furthermore, if you are coming on a student or business trip linked with a University or other agency, they may also require you to have proof of a return flight home.

MFA announced that on arrival visa is not available in Kiev or Odessa after midnight 1st of January 2019. All traveler must use e-visa channel.

Under new changes, specifically 52 countries from around the world, a visa may be issued by MFA Ukraine under strict assessment due to the current situation with the Russian Federation.

How to Apply E-visa to Ukraine

The first step is to register at the MFA web-platform.
Upload copies of necessary documents:

– Passport size photo
– A Copy of information page of the passport.
– Travel insurance policy (30,000 euro coverage or comprehensive cover)
– Proof of sufficient funds to remain in Ukraine up to 30 days. ( bank statements and payslips.)
– A certificate confirming the purpose of the visit such as Invitation letter or booking confirmation from tour agency in English.
– Hotel reservation confirmation.

– The payment $85 pay by online by MasterCard/Visa card only

All e-Visa applications to be processed within nine business days. Refusal or letter or visa pre-conformation will be sent to your email.

All travelers who are arriving in Ukraine Border control checkpoints should have printed all necessary documents, e-Visas along with their valid passport. Ukraine Border guard officer will issue your accurate visa label on your passport at the checkpoints.
