Marina Bay is one of the locations the Singapore River empties into. Marina Bay is actually an artificial inlet that has now become a sprawling development center with literally a lot of everything to offer.
The first you will probably notice is the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, which consists of three enormous towers crowned by the famous Sky Park.
Shaped like a boat on top of the towers, the Sky Park consists of wonderfully sculptured gardens, restaurants and an infinity pool.
The hotel is also home to one of Singapore’s two casinos (the other is located in Sentosa). Surrounding the resort around Marina Bay are over 300 shops, the Singapore Flyer (an ‘observation’ Ferris wheel similar to the London Eye) and the Gardens by the Bay, which consists of two main conservatories.
The two main conservatories are the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, offering a splendid view of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and a mountain more than 30 meters high surrounded by a variety of flowers and plants.
In addition, there is the Esplanade, which is the central artistic hub and definitely an eye-catcher with its many theaters, performances an innovative architecture.
