Orchard Road, for shopaholics and fashionistas wonderland, Singapore is a real shopping paradise in Southeast Asia.
High rise and large buildings, full of sunlight from the glass window breezy wind from air con , open space, and the glare of fluorescent boutiques, shopping malls are in Orchard completely different from any shops or stores even though the stores are in the most fashion street in any Southeast Asia or Asian countries.
This is a main shopping and entertainment locale just to the west of the financial district and stretches over 2 km in total distance.
Best of Orchard Road, whether you are looking for high-end designer fashion, casual attire, the latest technology, a nice restaurant, or a relaxing day at a spa, Orchard Road is the place to be.
The many escalating buildings and shopping plazas, along with tall, beautiful trees, provide some escape from the heat, if you are travelling during one of the warmer months.
If you want to peruse Orchard Road, but don’t like large crowds and warm temperatures (temperatures can rise above 30 and can feel smoldering, because of the humidity), it would be suggested to visit on a less crowded weekday during the evening, when temperatures can cool off.
As you head east on Orchard Road, it will turn into Bras Basah Road, where you can find museums and memorials such as the Battle Box (A British army headquarters from WWII), Istana (an old government building ensconced within beautiful gardens), the National Museum and the Singapore Art Museum.
