Germany -Travel Destinations

Incredibly developed and modern country where history and traditions still find their place and create a stunning blend. That is how is should be done. Germany will surprise you in the best way possible – by unexpected beauty and precision.

Germany is a well-known, larger European country located in the central/western part of the continent. The Federal Republic of Germany (comprising of 16 federal states) has a coastline with the access to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea and share borders with Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. It covers a total area of 357 square kilometres and it home to more than 82 million people. The official language is German.

The capital and also the largest city is Berlin . Other large and major cities are Hamburg , Munich , Cologne or Frankfurt. Germany belongs to one of the most developed countries in the world, with one of the largest and strongest economies worldwide, great power and large export. Germans also have a very high standard of living, high income and great quality of education, social security and health care.

It is one of the founding members of the European Union (as well as the Eurozone and Schengen Area), and also belongs to the United Nations, NATO, OECD, G 8 and G 20.

Colourful history and culture of Germany has been reflected by many artists, scientists and influential musicians. German history dates back to the times of Germanic tribes occupying the area formerly called Germania. Followed by Holy Roman Empire and German Empire, Germany always belonged to a state with a great power.

The World War I led to the establishment of the Weimar Republic. One of the most significant periods in the history of Germany is undoubtedly the World War II, where the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany led to the genocide of Jews.

This dark period had left some dark marks on the face of Germany in many minds. After the existence of two German states (west and east – the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic), the country was eventually reunified in 1990.

Naturewise, Germany is a vast area with great diversity of landscapes. The northern coast is a completely different portrait than the picturesque valleys surrounded by endless forests and the rugged Alpine glory. It is a place where never sleeping cities with some of the most modern architecture change with small and slow paced villages in a perfect transition.

Following the natural masterpiece, German culture is a world wonder on its own. German cuisine is a taste buds experience of world class beer, sausages, pretzels, delicious wine and so much more, you will probably never want to stop eating. Germans are precise, accurate and efficient. But they are also a great company, always willing to help.
