Tunnel of Love, Located near the town of Klevan in Ukraine, The “Tunnel of Love, ” is a truly unique, beautiful, and inspiring sight.
Located near the Polish border, the Tunnel of Love winds for 1.8 miles through dense Ukrainian forests and is one of the finest examples of natural architecture in the world.
The tunnel is formed along a small, remote railway that serves a local wood factory, with the tunnel space being just the right size for the rail car to cut through the trees on its trips to the factory. Each day the train makes three trips per day through the passageway.
This has caused the trees in the forest to perfectly wrap around the train car, giving the illusion that the train is being shot through a leafy green tube.
Tunnel of Love, The best times to visit are in the fall, when the trees are all in color, or in the spring, when the tunnel is that bright and vibrant fresh green color.
In addition to the railway’s practical application, it also carries with it a more mythical purpose responsible for drawing a number of visitors each year.
Legend has it, that if lovers who are walking along the Tunnel of Love make a wish, that wish will come true if they are sincere in love.
